Nudes by LCB

Some excellent vintage style nudes in black & white. Somehow this set of images reminds me of the first erotic photo’s from 100 years ago. I think it’s mainly because of the classic pose of the nude models. The vintage look is also achieved by the blurry effect we know from aged photographs.

Why are a lot of photographers still using Black and white photography? These images of LCB show that using only B&W gives the artist the ability to concentrate on the shape in relation with light and shadow. Color can sometimes disturb the effect of light on the nude model. And the puritans think that photography is all about light, photography is light. And while I’m not a puritan myself I often like the pureness of this kind of erotic photography.
